2016 Annual Meeting Highlights
The 80th LYREC annual meeting was held at the Event Center at the Richland County Fairgrounds on June 1, 2016. John Redman representing District 3 ran unopposed and was unanimously elected to a three-year term. Dennis Schmierer representing District 4 ran unopposed and was also unanimously elected to another three-year term. Congratulations to John and Dennis.
One of the most exciting part of the evening was the drawings held for the "Luck-of-the-Draw" Scholarships. This year there were 20 scholarships to be awarded. The winners needed to be present with their parent/guardian who is a LYREC member. The lucky winners of the $1000.00 scholarships were:
Braden Feisthamel, Cody Vitt, Chris Gartner, Weston Harmon, Shay Steinbeisser, Jared Rosaaen, Emily Vitt, Shelby Reidle, Marianne Gartner, Brady Gorder, Zach Hoffman, Brady Bell, Abbey Ries, Tess Ler, Tenna Cooley, Drue Nelson, Chelsea Strasheim, Amber Friesz, Katie Rice and Alex Wicks.

New this year...bucket bucket truck rides and safety demonstrations.
