LYREC is accepting applications for the John Redman Memorial Scholarship. 

To be eligible to apply: 

  • The applicant's parent or legal guardian must be a member of Lower Yellowstone Rural Electric Cooperative (LYREC). 
  • The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student for the fall of 2026 at an accredited college, university, trade school, or technical school. 

To apply, complete the scholarship application and write an essay (500-1,000 words) about a problem or issue in your community that matter to you. Why is is important, and what ideas do you have to help improve it? Describe how leadership, communication, and community involvement can play a role in creating a positive change. 

Submit to scholarships@lyrec.coop. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 20.
